Golden Grove School Term Dates For 2011
The Golden Grove School term dates for 2011 are available and can be downloaded as a PDF file from this page.
Golden Grove School Fundraiser 2011 Diaries
The children have created beautiful drawings which will be miraculously transformed into diaries for 2011. You also have the option to have a diary made with a photo on the cover instead of your child’s art. Forms have been sent home with your child, so rummage around in their school bag, fill out the form and please bring it back to school before November the 5th so that we can have them back to you well before Christmas.
Dress Up Day
Let’s have some fun! Let’s do a dress up day on Monday 1 November, come to school dressed up as anything you would like, from an astronaut to a zookeeper, to a character in movie or book. There are three prizes: Best Dressed, Most Creative and Coolest Costume! (voted by children and adults).
Guy Fawkes BBQ
We are looking forward to the BBQ at the Gabor residence, everyone is welcome, and if you would like more information see Catherine or check the notice on the school pin-board. I also feel it would be sensible to cancel chess club and afternoon tea (as it is the first of the month) and meet at the fireworks party instead!
Golden Grove School Photographs
We will have professional photographers visiting the school on Friday 12 November to take school, class and individual photos. We will be sending out envelopes shortly for families to fill out and return to the school with their portrait orders.
Junior Class Sleepover
Once again the junior class has filled up their jewel jar and the school would like to honour them for their achievement. As it has become tradition for the junior class to have a sleepover at school every year, we would like to honour the class by inviting them to school on the night of Friday 12 November, for a pyjama party and sleepover. Guaranteed to be a fun night!
Senior Camp
Parents interested in attending the overnight camp kindly fill out the form and return it to Richard as soon as possible. We would like to confirm with parents so that everyone can book the time off that they need.
Thank you.
Manukau Weetbix Tryathlon
It’s Weetbix Tryathlon season again!!! Our first tryathlon of the season will be on Wednesday 8 December in Manukau, which is a school day, therefore we organise transport to and from the event. Children seven years and older are encouraged to participate, as it is a fun day with great activities. For more information visit Weetbix Tryathlon, and if you would like your child to participate please fill out the form that has been sent home with your child and return it to school before November 15.
